Cattedrale San Giuseppe (St. Joseph)

After an overnight at a hotel near the Rome airport and a four hour bus ride, I arrived in Vasto early yesterday afternoon for a visit with my friend Susie.

Later in the day, after I had time to regroup, Susie and I enjoyed a walking tour of the local sights. Then, we ended the day with pizza and wine under a full moon rising over the Adriatic.

It’s easy to see there is much to enjoy in this ancient port city. Today’s agenda includes museums, shopping, and of course, more Italian food and wine. Ciao!
