Almost Wordless Wednesday–January 21, 2015

Today, my gardening gloves had a rest while I spoke at the White House on behalf of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs.  Among other points, I was happy to highlight the work of our member clubs in areas promoted by the First Lady, including school and community gardens and their ties to childhood nutrition and nutrition education.

Julie–Yes, I had a fabulous time. Thank goodness it wasn’t just me, our group comprised the GFWC Executive Committee and senior staff, or I don’t think I would have been able to do it.

Congratulation Marion, what an honour to speak at the White House. I’m sure you were the perfect representative. Will you tell us more about the experience? I’d love to hear.

Amazing. Congratulations. What an honour and a fantastic experience. And, of course, we already know that you are on the Obama’ s Christmas card list. I am so impressed.

Chloris–It’s a thrill for me, of course, but the honor goes to the 100,000 members of GFWC who work to make their communities better, especially for women and children.
