Great Terrace at Iford Manor

Great Terrace at Iford Manor

Just home from London last night, so no time to write yet, but wanted to share this image of one of my favorite gardens–Iford Manor–with its recently redesigned borders on the Great Terrace.

Jessica–It’s near Bath, not too far distant from you I believe. I’ve wanted to see it again every since my first visit in 2005. I hope it’s not another 10 years before I get to see it again!

Everyone who loves gardens should visit Iford Manor! Has a special “feel” about it. Some formal planning, but plenty of blooming flowers. A lovely blend of designs. Loved being there.

Martha–You are right, the garden at Iford, with its strong sense of place and history, is very special. I think it was one of the best we visited, don’t you? Everyone loved it!
